Another 172 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Berkshire according to the newest data.

The county has also had two new deaths recorded in the area according to the latest NHS data.

Figures released on November 2 showed another 18,950 lab-confirmed cases across the UK were reported as of 9am, meaning the total now stands at 1,053,864.

Across the UK, another 136 people have died within 28 days of a positive test, making a total of 46,853 since the start of the pandemic.

The new figures come after the Prime Minister announced that England’s set to have a four-week lockdown - running from November 4 until December 2 - in a bid to see infection rates significantly fall before Christmas.

This is how the latest figures break down in terms of cases for each area of Berkshire:

Reading  : 1,711 cases  (increase of 28)

Wokingham  : 1,367 cases  (increase of 23)
West Berkshire  : 1,108 cases  (increase of 20)
Windsor  and Maidenhead: 1,577 cases  (increase of 34)
Bracknell Forest  : 952 cases  (increase of 13)
This is the latest data on the total number of deaths at NHS trusts in and around Berkshire:

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust: 391  (one new death)
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust: 224 (one new death)
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust: 20 (no change)
