The current pandemic has caused much anxiety amongst many in our community, with some desperately needing help.  Loneliness, domestic abuse, lost dreams, uncertainty, and economic ruin are a few of the difficulties many need help with. Fortunately, there are charity organizations who provide help including ‘The Samaritans’ and ‘Child Line’ but they need funds.  To help support them, Dr Azmy Birdi, a senior doctor in our local surgery, has dedicated the proceedings from 100 copies of the book she wrote about her late father – Dr Pesi Bharucha.  He was an eminent surgeon and a leading contributor to the eradication of the virus- Small Pox.   I have read this fascinating book and feel humbled by the contribution this kind man made to medicine, to his community, and to world health – I recommend the read and feel grateful for this opportunity to help those in need during this crisis.
We are selling these books for £7.78 each and all the proceeds are going to charity.  If you wish to help and want to buy one, please email me at revdavidjoynes@gmail.com and I will deliver a copy to you. If you would like to preview the book and look at the reviews they are available on UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/8194814901
