Coronavirus week-on-week infection rates have risen again in all but one Berkshire area, according to the latest available figures on Tuesday (June 1) - the first day since July 30 with no deaths recorded nationwide.

Bracknell Forest, Reading, Slough, West Berkshire and Wokingham all experienced increases in their seven-day case rate for the week ending May 26.

Official data shows there have been a further 78 cases of coronavirus reported today, with a double-figure rise in four areas.

Nationally no deaths within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 were reported on Tuesday, according to the Government, meaning the UK total remains at 127,782.

Separate figures published by the Office for National Statistics show there have now been 153,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.

The Government also said that, as of 9am on Tuesday, there had been a further 3,165 lab-confirmed cases in the UK.

This is the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people for the week ending May 26:

Bracknell Forest: 33.5 (up from 20.4 )
Reading: 70.5 (up from 60.6 )
Slough: 62.2 (up from 51.5 )
West Berkshire: 30.3 (up from 29 )
Windsor and Maidenhead: 13.2 (down from 14.5)
Wokingham: 45.6 (up from 39.7)

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Bracknell Forest: 7,210 cases (+21)
Reading: 11,230 cases (+20)
Slough: 15,800 cases (+13)
West Berkshire : 6,573 cases (+5)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 8,598 cases (+2)
Wokingham: 8,455 (+17)

This is the latest data on the total number of deaths at NHS trusts in and around Berkshire as of Tuesday, June 1 (these statistics are not published on weekends or bank holidays):

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust: 1,248 (no change)
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust : 502 (no change)
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust: 32 (no change)

Government data up to May 31 shows that of the 65,211,877 jabs given in the UK so far, 39,477,158 were first doses – a rise of 93,103 on the previous day.

Some 25,734,719 were second doses, an increase of 195,546.
