A further 232 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded across the county today (Thursday), up from yesterday's figure of 161.

The highest number was found in Reading, where there were 70 new coronavirus cases.

Meanwhile, there were another 23 cases in Slough and 25 in Windsor and Maidenhead.

It brings the total number of cases in Berkshire to 61,437 since the start of the pandemic.

The high number of new cases in Reading meant it continued to have the highest infection rate in the county, at 186.7 cases per 100,000 people.

Wokingham had the second-highest rate at 115.1 cases per 100,000 while Bracknell Forest came in third at 111.8.

Here are the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people in Berkshire for the week ending June 23:

Reading: 186.7 (up from 165 )
Windsor and Maidenhead: 106.3 (up from 101.7)
Slough: 92.3 (up from 80.9)
Bracknell Forest: 111.8 (up from 105.3)
Wokingham: 115.1 (up from 109.9)
West Berkshire: 69.4 (down from 72.6)

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus the change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Reading: 12,251 cases (+70)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 9,039 cases (+42)
Slough: 16,347 cases (+23)
Bracknell Forest: 7,724 cases (+37)
Wokingham: 9,142 (+35)
West Berkshire : 6,934 cases (+25
