Two Distraction car crimes have just happened in Ascot.  These happen regularly in supermarket car parks – please be on your guard !

2/8  Monday 12.15 p.m.  Supermarket Car Park.  The aggrieved had loaded her shopping into her car and was driving out of the car park, when a woman came up and tapped on her window.  She said there is something on the back of her car.  She stopped and got out to see what the woman meant.  The back of the car had black felt tip scribble across the boot.  She then got back in the car and drove home.  When she got there, she found her wallet & contents and phone were missing.  She started to cancel cards and found there had been at least 4 attempted transactions on one card in Bracknell, but the bank had rejected them as unusual / suspicious transactions.  Ref. No:  43210345258

3/8  Tuesday 2.40 p.m.  Supermarket, County Lane, Warfield.  The aggrieved went shopping.  She returned to her car and loaded shopping in the boot and placed her handbag on the passenger seat.  She put the trolley in an area a few yards from a car.  While doing this, a woman stopped her and asked if she knew a local dentist.  Then a second woman came over and started talking to the first woman. When the aggrieved got back to her car, she realised that her purse and contents, had been taken from the handbag.  When she looked around, the two woman had gone.  Description of first woman  about 20years old, 5’ 8’’, very slim, fine mousey hair straight pushed back, with a foreign accent, wearing a blue mask.  The second woman was smaller 5’ 4’’ older around 60s  short fairish fluffy hair (not blonde), no accent.  The bank cards have been used at the cash point in the High Street.  Eventually the cards were stopped and declined.  Ref. No;  43210346160
