There have been another 285 coronavirus cases across Berkshire in the past day.

According to Public Health England there have now been 77,894 coronavirus cases across the county since the start of the pandemic.

The seven-day rolling infection rates, up-to-date as of August 12, show increases in Bracknell Forest and Wokingham, decreases in Reading and West Berkshire, and no change in Slough and Windsor and Maidenhead.

The highest one-day increase was in WIndsor and Maidenhead where there were another 68 positive coronavirus tests as of 9am today (August 17).

The second-highest was in Wokingham, where there were 52, while there were another 51 recorded in Reading.

Meanwhile there were 41 in Slough, 39 in West Berkshire, and 34 in Bracknell Forest.

There were another 26,852 positive coronavirus cases identified across the United Kingdom, bringing the total to 6,332,241 since the start of the pandemic.

There have been another 170 people to die within 28 days of receiving a positive coronavirus test.

This means the UK death toll now stands at 131,149 since the start of the pandemic.

Meanwhile there have now been 47,369,418 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out, while 40,841,971 people have been double-jabbed.

Here are the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people in Berkshire for the week ending August 12:

Reading: 356.7 (down from 365.5 )
Bracknell Forest: 260.9 (up from 255.3)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 281.6 (no change from 281.6 )
Wokingham: 254.7 (up from 243.8 )
West Berkshire: 229.1 (down from 248.4 )
Slough: 292.2 (no change from 292.2 )

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus the change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Reading: 15,517 (+51)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 11,780 (+68)
Slough: 18,669 (+41)
Bracknell Forest: 10,343 (+34)
Wokingham: 12,110 (+52)
West Berkshire : 9,475 (+39)
