There have been one more death and 335 positive coronavirus cases across Berkshire in the last day.

Latest figures from Public Health England show one more person has died in Bracknell Forest within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test result.

It brings the covid death toll across Berkshire to 1,449 since the pandemic began.

The latest figures also show there have now been 83,365 positive covid tests across Berkshire since the start of the pandemic.

The largest single-day increase in coronavirus cases across the area came in West Berkshire where there were another 68 positive tests, making a total of 10,451.

The second-highest was in Wokingham where there were 65 new cases, while Reading recorded another 58.

There were 55 in Slough and 50 in Windsor and Maidenhead. Bracknell Forest recorded 39 new cases, the lowest in the county.

Across the United Kingdom there have been another 26,476 coronavirus cases recorded as of 9am yesterday, bringing the total number of infections to 6,757,650.

However these do not include totals for Wales or Northern Ireland where no data has been declared on the bank holiday.

There have also been another 48 people to die within 28 days of a positive test, bringing the death toll to 132,485.

A total of 48,024,928 have now had their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine while 42,718,652 people have been double-jabbed.

Here are the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people in Berkshire for the week ending August 25:

Bracknell Forest: 289.9 (down from 298.Cool
West Berkshire: 313 (down from 321.Cool
Reading: 369.2 (down from 377.3)
Slough: 316.2 (down from 320.9)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 320 (down from 324.6)
Wokingham: 288.6 (down from 300.7)

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus the change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Bracknell Forest: 10,995 (+39)
West Berkshire : 10,451 (+68)
Reading: 16,576 (+58)
Slough: 19,518 (+55)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 12,697 (+50)
Wokingham: 13,128 (+65)
