There have been 325 positive coronavirus cases across Berkshire in the last day.

The latest figures also show there have now been 83,690 positive covid tests across Berkshire since the start of the pandemic.

The largest single-day increase in coronavirus cases across the area came in Wokingham where there were another 58 positive tests, making a total of 13,186.

The Government said a further 50 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Tuesday, bringing the UK total to 132,535.

Separate figures published by the Office for National Statistics show there have been 156,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.

As of 9am on Tuesday, there had been a further 32,181 lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases in the UK, the Government said.

Here are the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people in Berkshire for the week ending August 26:

Bracknell Forest: 281.9 (down from 289.9)
West Berkshire: 309.8 (down from 313)
Reading: 362.4 (down from 369.2)
Slough: 305.5 (down from 316.2)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 314.7 (down from 320)
Wokingham: 299.5 (up from 288.6)

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus the change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Slough: 19,562 (+44)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 12,763 (+66)
Wokingham: 13,186 (+58)

Government data up to August 30 shows that of the 90,838,594 Covid jabs given in the UK, 48,048,009 were first doses, a rise of 19,643 on the previous day.

Some 42,790,585 were second doses, an increase of 66,648.
