Bird flu cases have unfortunately been found locally and to help reduce spread Defra has established a temporary disease control zone covering 3km (1.86 mile) in all directions from the Thames at Eton, where infected swans were recently identified.
If you keep birds of any number, species or breed within the zone - either at your home, garden, dovecote, allotment, smallholding or farm – please complete this short survey
https://www.rbwm.gov.uk/birdflu-survey by the evening of Friday 28 January to play your part in helping protect local wildfowl, poultry farms and your own birds.
Please take part if you keep any captive birds within that zone, including poultry such as chickens, ducks or geese, any game birds such as pheasants, any aviary and caged birds, or any racing or fancy pigeons.
