The Thames Valley Police Strategic Plan for 2022/23 was announced on 1st April.
Here you can read about the seven priority areas that we will focus on over the coming year. The four areas of operational activity are where we need our best effort for the public, and the three organisational areas are where we need to focus internally to give us the best chance of success:

As a regular reader of your Thames Alert emails, the following may interest other readers.
This morning we received a Withheld telephone call purportedly from ‘Slough Police Station’, saying that a person with the name Bailey was under arrest and had compromised our Visa Debit card. We should ring the Police emergency number to speak to somebody about it and get the Metropolitan to follow up.
He gave his details as DCI Tom Gibson EK194772 and we should ring 116 straightaway, he stressed ‘straightaway’, and I would be put through on a secure line.
Knowing the ‘ring straightaway’ and the line being held open trick, I terminated the call.
Five things were suspicious:
1. Why did Slough Police station ring and not the Met Police ?
2. Why did “Tom Gibson” not deal with the matter directly ?
3. The insistence that I ring straight away !!
4. I had never heard of 116 !
5. Today is April Fools Day !!!

A range of events and projects are being planned by the Royal Borough to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this year.
Her Majesty became the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee on 6 February, marking 70 years of service to the United Kingdom and Commonwealth.
To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, there will be Platinum Jubilee celebrations taking place throughout the year, building to celebrations over the extended Bank Holiday weekend from Thursday 2 June to Sunday 5 June.
Upcoming events include:
A 21 Gun Salute on the Long Walk, Windsor (Thursday 21 April) – Led by the Mayor, Councillor John Story, the event is planned to mark Her Majesty’s 96th birthday. A number of children attending the event will be invited to fire a cannon
The Mayor’s Platinum Jubilee Children’s Party at Windsor Guildhall (Monday 23 May) – Two children, aged between five and 11 from all schools in the borough will be invited to attend the party
Town Criers competition at Salisbury Tower, Windsor (Saturday 20 August) - Around 20 official Town Criers will parade in their ceremonial liveries before competing in a day-long competition.
Free school holiday activity and food programme returns for children eligible for free school meals
A successful free holiday activities and food programme helping children eligible for free school meals is returning to the Royal Borough this Easter.
Our programme is called Feed Ur Everyday Lives (FUEL) and aims to provide additional support to vulnerable children.
It is delivered by Achieving for Children (AFC), our children’s services partner, with funding from the Department for Education. It is for children aged five to 16 years old who are eligible for free school meals.
The programme will offer a range of activities across the Easter holidays, as well as during the summer break and Christmas holidays this year – the same as last year’s programme.
Activities include sports sessions and the opportunity to learn outdoor skills including forest den building, fire lighting and campfire cooking. There will also be performing arts, arts and crafts, indoor games, food education, an escape room activity, and sensory activities for children with special education needs.

Chief Constable, John Campbell, and Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Matthew Barber, have awarded voluntary and community organisations £100,106 in the first round of this year’s Community Fund.
The Community Fund, (previously called the Police Property Act Fund), is created from the proceeds of sale of goods recovered by the police that cannot be returned to their original owner. In accordance with the Police Property Act Regulations (1997), all awards from the fund must be for charitable purposes.

Only details are that is was a black bike. The offender is described as white, wearing a black anorak, black trainers, white rucksack and black face mask. He took the bike to Courtlands.
