This week excavations begin at the paddock of Holy Trinity Church for the ongoing project by Reading University Archaeology Department, headed by Gabor Thomas.
Last year Cookham Abbey was beginning to be discovered and will now be an ongoing project for the next three years.
There are FREE public tours, though donations are welcome to help fund the work, and all the information, including a link to a report of last year's dig, is in the link below:
