A reminder that the Cookham & Cookham Dean Fete is in 17 September and as part of that the Horticultural Society are staging the annual Flower & Produce Show in the Cookham Dean Village Hall on Saturday 17th September.
This year we have over 60 classes ranging from home grown fruit and vegetables, flower arranging, home baking, handicrafts and children's classes too. You may well be thinking giving the exceptionally dry summer this year that there can't be a lot to show. However each year us gardeners manage to put on an amazing display despite the weather and certain plants being too early or too late and we think some of our produce might not be up to standard. But at just 50p per entry it really is worth a go and definitely a lot of fun. Please feel free to share the programme with other friends and family who might also like to take part.
All we ask is that entry forms and fees are submitted no later than 6pm on Thursday 15th September.
