It’s
“ASK YOUR PHARMACIST” week
This week - We will pop up a post each morning to tell you the current services being offered by community pharmacy.
Come along and say hi to me and the team in Cookham Pharmacy and ask away! 😃
So today - a quick reminder that we carry out Blood Pressure (BP) checks in over 40s that DONOT take blood pressure meds.
Why?
Well, there aren’t necessarily any symptoms (as per say) for having high blood pressure - so monitoring it every 5 years during health checks with your GP is one way of making sure it’s within range. And to make it even more convenient - this NHS commissioned service is now available from your local pharmacy along with simple lifestyle advice.
Check with your pharmacy team for eligibility about this service.
Remember : also Currently offering flu jabs - walk-in clinics on Wednesday (2nd November) and Friday (4th November) and SATURDAY 5th November.
Times :
9am to 12pm and then 3pm to 6pm
You will be asked to fill in a form that will be screened by the vaccinating pharmacist.
There is an NHS eligibility criteria if you are aged between 18 and 49
We will inform your GP of the vaccination.
This is an NHS commissioned service .
