Two utility companies have apologised after ‘essential repairs’ caused mass disruption to motorists in Cookham last week.

Both Openreach and Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) conducted works on Sutton Road and next to Cookham Bridge from November 16-22.

This required the installation of three-way traffic lights at the top of Cookham High Street, with residents flocking to social media airing frustrations over ‘gridlock’ in the village.
