HSBC Closures

Another Berkshire bank is set to close its doors for the last time - in the latest blow to the county's struggling high streets. HSBC has confirmed 114 of its banks will close due to changing customer habits - with some now serving fewer than 250 customers a week.
The company's branch in Windsor is set to close its doors as part of the changes. The closure is due to take place on August 22 2023.
A number of other branches near the Berkshire border are also among the 114 earmarked for closure - with the HSBC in Marlow now due for closure on July 18 2023. In Oxfordshire, the Didcot HSBC is lined up to close on May 9 next year while the Henley-on-Thames branch will shut its doors in August.

I can understand the full range of competing banks having to reconsider each having a branch in every location, having shot themselves in the foot with risky on-line banking. But when I go to an airport to fly out, I do not expect to see every airline having its own departure building. They all share a common hall, with all its heating, lighting, comms etc.
Why can't banks do the same thing so there is one hub in each place, with desk/s for each bank wishing to represent themselves? Simples!
