According to the BBC weather forecast, snow is predicted to fall in all six Berkshire boroughs next week. Having missed out on a white Christmas, lots of people will be looking forward to the prospect of snowfall in their town.

The forecast shows that sleet showers and light snowfall will grace Reading, Bracknell, Wokingham, Windsor and Maidenhead, Slough, and West Berkshire on Monday, January 16, and Tuesday, January 17. Some towns could also see snow on Thursday, January 19.

The BBC forecast for Monday says: "Monday will see winds ease. There will be sunshine and scattered showers, but turning cloudy and wet in the southwest later." The Met Office weather forecast for next week says that there's a greater chance of snow in this half of the month.

The Met Office forecast from Monday, January 16 to Wednesday, January 25 says: "Much of this period is likely to be rather unsettled. On Monday, with cold air in place, showers are likely to be wintry across the north, even to low levels, with some wintriness in showers further south too, but equally there will be some sunny spells.

"For the following few days, the most likely scenario is one of generally colder conditions, compared to recently, to dominate, with potential for brief incursions of milder air tied with Atlantic frontal systems. This means further wet weather is likely, especially in the west, with perhaps a greater incidence of snow compared to what we've seen so far in January. Strong winds or gales are also possible at times."

Windsor and Maidenhead

Monday, January 16: Sleet showers and a gentle breeze, high of 5C, lows of 0C, snow predicted to fall from 4pm to 12am

Tuesday, January 17: Sleet showers and a gentle breeze, highs of 5C, lows of 1C, snow predicted to fall from 3am to 11am

Thursday, January 19: Sleet showers and a gentle breeze, highs of 7C, lows of 5C, snow predicted to fall at 9am
