Tickets are now available to attend a prestigious Charity Spring Dinner hosted by the Royal Borough’s Mayor.

The prestigious and beautiful surroundings of the Grade 1 listed Guildhall will be the venue for the black-tie dinner in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

Councillor Christine Bateson, the Mayor, will be hosting the dinner on Saturday 25 March at 7pm. There will be a drinks reception, a three-course meal, entertainment and a live auction to raise funds.

Councillor Bateson said: “I have personally experienced the devastation of my father, brother, uncle and aunt all having heart attacks between the ages of 40 and 50.

“And it’s the fact every day someone in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead dies from heart or circulatory disease.

“It’s a shocking figure and it is why I’m hoping to raise awareness and funds for this important charity.

“It’s not just the older generation who are affected either. The reality is anyone can be affected – babies, children, even elite athletes.  Around 12 people under 35 die every week in the UK of sudden cardiac arrest.

“Please help me raise some funds for crucial research in the fight against heart and circulatory disease.”

The British Heart Foundation fund around £100million of research each year into all heart circulatory diseases, the causes of them, and raises awareness of the diseases to save lives.

Tickets are available now on a first come first served basis at https://tinyurl.com/4eyydaxu.

For further information contact the Mayor’s Secretary on 07866 127222, or email mayors.parlour@rbwm.gov.uk  Bookings will close on 13 March.
