The council has issued a compliance notice for ‘breaches’ of site conditions at a Cookham caravan park – following demolition and tree removal there.

Over the Easter weekend, residents of Strande Park spotted that trees and other vegetation were being cut down – and that garages were also being demolished.

Residents told the council that eight or so garages had been demolished and mature trees had been removed along the premises edge, raising concerns over nesting birds.

Part of this site is the subject of a planning application by Shanly Homes – but the company says it is not responsible for the Easter weekend works.
