RBWM and Christmas trees

From a Cookham resident
Not sure if you have noticed that lots of Cookham Christmas trees have not been collected by rbwm for recycling even where they were diligently put out next to green bins (as the rbwm instructions)
Green Bins were emptied but the trees were not taken away. High winds are now blowing the trees around.
I have just spoken with rbwm who say that because my complaint is more than 48hrs past the collection date they may not be able to hold the waste team to collect the trees.
I didn’t know about the 48hr rule and all this is very unsatisfactory considering that many Cookham residents face the same problem.
