There have been three new coronavirus cases reported in Berkshire, but deaths related to coronavirus have seen no increase in the last 24 hours, according to NHS England figures released today (Wednesday, June 17).

UK-wide deaths related to Covid-19 now stand at 42,288, up 135 in 24 hours.

There have been 300,469 confirmed cases across the country, an increase of 1,218 positive patients in the last 24 hours.

Cases in the county where people have tested positive for coronavirus stand at 2,467 - three new cases being recorded in 24 hours.

Reading still has the highest number of cases in Berkshire, with 594 patients testing positive - an increase of one from yesterday.

Slough has 462 positive cases - two newly reported - while Bracknell 's figure remains at 263.

West Berkshire's cases stay the same at 384, while Wokingham's remain at 458.

To date, 306 people have tested positive in Windsor and Maidenhead - unchanged from yesterday's figures.

There have been no deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, with a breakdown of those figures in the trusts below.

The latest figures in Berkshire

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust – 359 (no change)
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust – 184 (no change)
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust - 20 (no change)
It is important to note that Frimley Health runs sites outside of Berkshire, for example Frimley Hospital in Surrey, so it is hard to get an accurate figure for the exact amount of deaths in Berkshire alone.

The current total across the three Trusts is 563.

Windsor and Maidenhead

Number of cases: 306

Rate of infection: 202.8

Windsor and Maidenhead has the lowest coronavirus infection rate of all authorities in the county, with just over 200 cases for every 100,000 people.

The number of cases is just over 300.

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead council have been contacted for comment.

However, Adam Afriye, MP for Windsor, said: "It is a mixed picture across the country because circumstances differ, and I am mindful that every death across the Royal Borough and the country is tragedy for family and friends.

"What these figures do show is the incredible hard work and dedication shown by the Royal Borough our healthcare workers, and front line staff in keeping the vulnerable safe and secure by providing essential services.
