Police were seen on the Thames near the Ferry around 8.30pm this evening. It is thought that three men got into trouble at Odney Weir. It is not known how the boys are, but ambulances and the critical care unit were called to the scene.

It seems that the three men were Syrians who had decided to have a swim after work. One was badly hurt and has been taken to hospital, one it seems is still missing. Four paramedics entered the water to work jointly alongside the fire and police. Emergency services have launched a desperate search for a man who is feared to have drowned after jumping into the Thames to save his friend.
The 31-year-old man dived into the stretch of river near Odney weir, when his friend got into trouble.
