Double figure rise in Slough as 30 new coronavirus cases confirmed across Berks

The number of people who have tested positive for coronavirus in Berkshire has risen by 30 in the last 24 hours, new data has revealed.

No further deaths have been recorded in hospital trusts in and around Berkshire.

The figures issued on Saturday, September 26 by Public Health England shows a further 6,042 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK.

Overall, 429,277 cases have been confirmed.

A further 34 people have now died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19.

This brings the UK total to 41,971.

This is how the figures break down in terms of cases for each area of Berkshire as of September 26:

Reading : 951 cases (increase of three)
Slough : 926 cases ( increase of 13)
Wokingham : 722 cases (increase of eight)
West Berkshire : 589 cases (increase of three)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 654 cases (increase of two)
Bracknell Forest : 500 cases ( increase of one )

The total number of deaths at NHS trusts in and around Berkshire is now 579, as detailed below:
