Flood Information

Good Morning
The Environment Agency issued a Flood Alert for the River Thames from Hurley to Cookham at 8:31pm yesterday evening. The key issue appears to be flooding of low lying roads and fields in the Marlow area (which we also experienced on Sunday).
There were 36 Alerts last evening and our area is one of the remaining three this morning.
The River Thames at Cookham Lock Upstream was at 29cm yesterday and is now at 27cm. We would not expect problems from flooding in Cookham at these levels.
The weather forecast for today is dry and sunny until this evening, when there will be more rain.
We will continue to monitor the situation and update you accordingly.
If you do hear of any flood-related issues then please contact the Parish Council office in the first instance.
Regards
Carol Long
Flood Coordinator
