Coronavirus in Berkshire round up - Sunday, January 10

Almost 40,000 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Berkshire since the start of the pandemic.

As of 4pm on Sunday, January 10, Public Health England has recorded 37,425 lab-confirmed cases in areas including Reading, Bracknell, Wokingham, West Berkshire, Slough and Windsor and Maidenhead.

The total number of positive Covid-19 cases across Berkshire in the last 24 hours is 895.

The local breakdown for the past 24 hours as follows:

Bracknell - 107 cases, 4,956

Wokingham - 135, 5,802

Reading - 197, 6,896

West Berkshire - 65, 4,145

Slough - 261, 9,668

Windsor and Maidenhead - 130, 5,958

There have now been 3,072,349 people across the UK who have tested positive for Covid-19.

The total number of deaths - those with Covid-19 listed on their death certificate - across the UK has now reached 82,624.

The latest seven-day rate per 100,000 people locally are as follows:

Bracknell - 752.4

Reading - 722

West Berkshire - 374.9

Wokingham- 577.4

Windsor and Maidenhead - 671

Slough- 1,137.5
