We are not able to go out and about and attend community meetings to promote Thames Valley Alert, at this time.

We feel as many people as possible, should be protected, by receiving these messages and the Crime Prevention information, they contain.

There are already people all over the country, already registered to get RBWM Alerts, not for the local crime updates they contain, but for your personal experiences, re the scams and frauds information that you so generously share.

This information and the warnings about what is currently out there, being received by everyone, is vital, to protect any potential victim.  Our role as members of NHW, is to protect the community – not only in our road, our Parish, but through our influence, everywhere.  We are in possession of information that can protect others and it is our responsibility, to share that resource.

We know, recipients forward the messages to people they know, in order to protect them – but we are still not reaching everyone.  We report new victims all the time that we have not been able to reach.

For example - all areas of the country have seen an increase in thefts of Catalytic Converters and the information and Crime Prevention advice we circulate, is relevant and useful for everyone - wherever they live.

Many areas of the country, do not have the benefit of this FREE service – and your experiences.

If you know of someone, who would benefit from receiving these messages – wherever they live - an influencer in their community, a relative, friend, work colleague, pass them my email address and ask them to email me, to register them on the database.

All we need, is their full name, full address including post code, telephone and mobile contact numbers and their email address.  Due to Data Protection, you cannot do this for them.  They need to request personally, to be placed on the database.

We want to protect everyone, wherever they are.  With the information we supply, we can reduce their trauma of being a victim of crime.  One victim in a community, is felt by the whole community.  Reducing the number of victims, also has the side effect benefit of freeing us up, to deal with the most important and urgent crimes.

The response we receive from our members – you - is fantastic and it is really appreciated.  As we often report, we are receiving dozens of calls relating to suspicious people and cars out and about in the community.  We appreciate each and every call and the fact that you have taken the time and trouble, to do so.

Always think about the jigsaw puzzle.  You have a meaningless and unidentifiable piece of sky and have no idea where it fits into the bigger picture.  We have the box lid with the picture and a particular space, where your piece fits !  We can then fit the pieces together – if we have them !!!
