Some excellent drone flood/ non flood footage (courtesy of Andy Arannable) to demonstrate recent problems in areas close to Hollands Farm.

Hollands Farm is close to water on 3 sides: bounded immediately along its Northern edge by the River Wye, nearby to the West by the Thames itself, to the South where the Hedsor Water loop of Thames runs nearby and to South East by the stream which appears as a spring near Hedsor Rd and flows to Hedsor Water.

Remember that floods in 2013 were worse than shown here & those in 2006 even more so
(water levels in 2006 approached the severe 1947 flood level reference used in EA flood plain assessments FPA’s )

The EA has mandated a 20% climate change factor be included for several years now in all FPA’s , given more severe weather events are expected in future.

Thanks to Andy for this excellent footage—a picture really does say 1000 words!

( tips: use volume icon at top rhs to start intro commentary , then downstream or upstream icons, plus the expand/ rotate features).

Regards, Troubled Bridge
