Hostile vehicle mitigation measures remain in place around Windsor as Thames Valley Police continues to work to ensure public safety in the days leading up to the funeral of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh.

Local residents and businesses may have noticed an increased police presence in the town in recent days, which is part of many visible and not so visible security measures in place.

The HVM measures are designed to prevent vehicles from causing a danger to the public, and are permanently installed in Windsor.

This type of activity is business as usual for our officers in the town, and is part of the force’s work to make sure everyone in Windsor is safe during this period of national mourning.
