Thirty-two new cases of coronavirus have been recorded across Berkshire - but infection rates have fallen in four areas according to the latest weekly figures.

The latest data from Public Health England on Tuesday (May 11) shows Slough, West Berkshire, and Windsor and Maidenhead had the biggest increases.

The total of new cases is slightly up from yesterday's update, when there were 31.

Meanwhile, weekly Covid-19 infection rates fell in Bracknell Forest, West Berkshire, Windsor and Maidenhead and Slough in the seven days up to May 6 - the most recent weekly data available.

No new Covid-19 related hospital deaths have been recorded in NHS trusts serving Berkshire.
The Government said a further 20 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Tuesday, bringing the UK total to 127,629.

The Government also said that, as of 9am on Tuesday, there had been a further 2,474 lab-confirmed cases in the UK.

It brings the total to 4,439,691.
 
This is the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people for the week ending May 6:

Bracknell Forest: 12.2 (down from 13.9)
Reading: 25.3 (up from 24.1)
Slough: 29.4 (down from 35.4)
West Berkshire: 24.6 (down from 29.7)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 23.1 (down from 24.4)
Wokingham: 12.9 (up from 11.7)

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Bracknell Forest: 7,120 cases (two new cases)
Reading: 10,991 cases (five new cases)
Slough: 15,609 cases (eight new cases)
West Berkshire: 6,444 cases (six new cases)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 8,552 cases (six new cases)
Wokingham: 8,285 (five new cases)

This is the latest data on the total number of deaths at NHS trusts in and around Berkshire:

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust: 1,248 (no change)
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust: 501 (no change)
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust: 32 (no change)

How many people have had a Covid vaccine?

Government data up to May 10 shows that of the 53,675,733 jabs given in the UK so far, 35,587,348 were first doses – a rise of 114,756 on the previous day.

Some 18,088,385 were second doses, an increase of 231,835.
