RBWM’s Tap 4 Lasting Change is a new cashless donation scheme designed to help end rough sleeping, which launched on just before the third lockdown in December (hence the Christmas vibes in the photos)!
This is a new way of helping to support the delivery of effective services for rough sleepers in the borough. You simply tap a debit card on a donation point to donate a fixed fee of £3. The donation points also accept Apple or Google Pay.
Donations raised by Tap 4 Lasting Change will fund individually tailored support programmes for rough sleepers in the borough to help them make real life changes as part of our rough sleeper pathway.
A rough sleeper pathway covers the journey from first contact with a rough sleeper through an initial assessment of needs to identifying and accessing tailored support and eventually gaining secure accommodation. For everyone, this journey will be different and may have steps which overlap and even repeat:
1️⃣ Stage one: identify what support each former rough sleeper will need from the pathway.
2️⃣ Stage two: put in place a tailored programme of accommodation and support including signposting to wider agencies.
3️⃣ Stage three: assist the former rough sleeper into sustainable, independent accommodation.
The donations points can be found in the following locations:
🐎 Ascot: Chewton Rose
🎓 Eton: Popeyes Grooming Windsor
🛹 Maidenhead: Hard Edge
🏰 Windsor: Dr Chocs Windsor Chocolate Factory
📚 Windsor & Maidenhead Libraries: RBWM Libraries
