The Magnet Leisure Centre could be demolished to make way for hundreds of new homes, if the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead approves the planning application.

Planning consultants Curtin & Co have now added to the plans, which include cycle paths and installing a pedestrian crossing on the A4 for residents to access the town centre.

Improvements to the underpass that connects Kidwells Park to the centre is also proposed as well as adding a toucan crossing on Cookham Road for future homeowners to access the park.

The St Cloud Way development is yet to be decided, which could see the former Magnet Leisure Centre site demolished for five apartment blocks, consisting of 439 homes.

From the east, Cookham Road, to the west, Holmanleaze, developers have proposed to add a four-metre wide cycle and pedestrian link through the site.
