The annual rounders competition, that had to miss a year, is back! The competition on the Village Green in Cookham Dean will take place on Sunday 25th July. Open to all comers and designed to be inclusive, family friendly and fun, teams of 9 players (with a maximum of 5 males) are invited to enter.

The competition will be in a round robin format, with a prize pool of £200 to be donated to the winning team's charity of choice. There is an entry fee of £25 per team and players need to be teenagers or older. Entries must be made prior to the day. To enter a team, join one of the existing teams or volunteer to help on the day, go to www.cookhamdeanvillagehall.com<http://www.cookhamdeanvillagehall.com>. Games will start from 12:30.

The event is organised by Cookham Dean Village Club supported by the Cherry Pickers of Cookham Dean. Spectators, picnickers and well-behaved dogs on leads are very welcome and there will be barbeque food and a licenced bar available.

After the rounders, we have arranged for Steve Carroll, a well-known local Irish singer and musician to play live at a free outdoor party on the Village Green. Do come along with your rugs, chairs, tables, candelabras and picnic or take advantage of our BBQ food and bar.

Want to know more, call Peter on 0802 216241.

We have reluctantly decided to cancel this event as the forecast for tomorrow is pretty awful and it is all open air.
