There have been another 345 coronavirus cases across Berkshire in the last 24 hours.

The latest Public Health England shows there have now been 70,229 coronavirus infections across the county since the start of the pandemic last March.

Due to "technical difficulties" yesterdays, detailed breakdown was released late, however there were 317 across the area in the 24 hours leading up to 9am Saturday.

The highest single-day increase across Berkshire today was in Wokingham, where there were another 77 positive coronavirus infections identified.

The second-highest was was in Reading where there were another 62 cases, while 56 were recorded in Windsor and Maidenhead.

Elsewhere there were 54 infections in West Berkshire, 49 in Bracknell Forest and 47 in Slough.

Nationally there were another 29,173 coronavirus cases recorded across the United Kingdom today, bringing the total number of infections to 5,697,912.

There have been another 28 people across the United Kingdom who have died within 28 days of receiving a positive coronavirus test.

This means a total of 129,158 people have died after contracting the virus.

There have now been 46,563,452 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out across the UK with 37,160,659 people having been double-jabbed.

Here are the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people in Berkshire for the week ending July 18:

Reading: 406.7 (up from 394.4 )
Windsor and Maidenhead: 423.3 (up from 416.1)
Slough: 306.9 (up from 304.3)
Bracknell Forest: 603.8 (down from 612.Cool
Wokingham: 434.8 (up from 393.9)
West Berkshire: 400.1 (up from 399.5)

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus the change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Reading: 13,925 (+62)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 10,511 (+56)
Slough: 17,427 (+47)
Bracknell Forest: 9,324 (+49)
Wokingham: 10,737 (+77)
West Berkshire : 8,305 (+54)
