I've heard a rumour the proposal is to build a 2nd road through tug wood common and the small woodland, up to Herries. Plus painting up Dean lane with lane narrowing. Why are the councillors so determined for drastic changes, now tarmacking through the home of wildlife? Why not something simpler like improved signage and a permanent radar speed sign. Hope there is a consultation and an opportunity to oppose, should this rumour be accurate.

I think there is more Herries can do to help themselves
- they have an overgrown front entrance in a poor state, that could be landscaped to create lots more space
- secondly, there is a parking bay at the rear on Winter hill, which again could be opened up (by removing the fencing) to create quite a few parking spaces.
I guess we need to see what the actual proposal is first...
