There were 77 in Wokingham and 63 in Slough, while the smallest increase was in Bracknell Forest where there were 60 cases.

Across the United Kingdom there were another 33,904 positive coronavirus tests, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 6,355,887.

There have also been another 111 people to die within 28 days of a positive covid test, meaning the UK death toll now stands at 131,260.

Meanwhile 47,413,242 have had their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine while 40,987,846 people have been double-jabbed.

Here are the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people in Berkshire for the week ending August 13:

Reading: 346.1 (down from 356.7 )
Bracknell Forest: 256.9 (down from 260.9)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 281.6 (no change from 281.6 )
Wokingham: 270.2 (up from 254.7)
West Berkshire: 246.1 (up from 229.1 )
Slough: 299.5 (up change from 292.2 )

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus the change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Reading: 15,605 (+88)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 11,866 (+86)
Slough: 18,732 (+63)
Bracknell Forest: 10,403 (+60)
Wokingham: 12,187 (+77)
West Berkshire : 9,560 (+85)
