There have been another 621 positive coronavirus cases identified across Berkshire in the latest daily update.

The latest figures from Public Health England now show there have been 84,767 positive coronavirus tests across the county since the start of the pandemic last year.

There have however been no covid new deaths in the last 24 hours.

The largest single-day increase across Berkshire was in Wokingham, where there were 145 new coronavirus cases.

The second-highest one-day increase was in West Berkshire, which saw another 130 confirmed cases, with Windsor and Maidenhead 114 and Reading 113.

In Bracknell Forest there were 63 new cases with Slough recording 56 - the lowest across the county.

Across the United Kingdom there have been another 38,154 positive coronavirus tests over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 6,862,904.

There have also been another 178 people to die within 28 days of receiving a positive coronavirus test, meaning the death toll now stands at 132,920.

Meanwhile 48,131,996 people have had their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine while 43,023,372 people have now been double-jabbed.

Here are the latest rolling seven-day coronavirus infection rates per 100,000 people in Berkshire for the week ending August 28:

Bracknell Forest: 266.6 (down from 271.4)
West Berkshire: 314.3 (up from 313.6)
Reading: 338.7 (down from 356.7)
Slough: 291.5 (down from 298.2)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 318.6 (up from 322.6)
Wokingham: 287.4 (down from 295.5)

This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic, plus the change in the last 24 hours (in brackets):

Bracknell Forest: 11,176 (+63)
West Berkshire : 10,737 (+130)
Reading: 16,811 (+113)
Slough: 19,668 (+56)
Windsor and Maidenhead: 12,946 (+114)
Wokingham: 13,429 (+145)
