Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) 🚌
I am delighted as #RBWM Cabinet Member for Transport, Infrastructure and Digital Connectivity to report that at Thursday night's Cabinet Meeting (28.10.21), we approved our Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

Our BSIP includes ambitious proposals which will now be submitted to the Department for Transport, and includes a bid for around £30 Million to enable the delivery of our plan.

The BSIP proposes to reduce and simplify fares, to improve bus usage and reliability, and to reduce journey times by providing greater priority for buses and by optimising routes.

We also plan to trial demand responsive bus services and make a number of improvements by investing in more accessible and inclusive bus services which provide better integration with other modes of transport.

If funding is secured, the plan will be developed and delivered over several years in partnership with bus 🚌 operators, and be guided by residents feedback.

Increasing bus usage will help improve air quality, reduce congestion and supports our climate objectives for the Borough.
