Elizabeth House is looking for some more in-house volunteers to support our fun-loving and interesting independent seniors, aged from 65-101 years old.
We have a core of volunteers who work in 2 shifts each day 10am-12noon and 12-2pm, so no more than 2 hours at a time, supporting staff and each other. There is ALWAYS time for a coffee and a chat with each other and even some lunch to eat in or takeaway.
You don't even have to commit to a fixed time or day - if you are happy to fill in when volunteers are on holiday or off sick that would be great so we have a reserve list!
We offer first aid training, and there is an opportunity to do other training if you are interested; accompany members and staff on outings (free of charge); help with fundraising events and even the possibility of joining members on theatre trips at group discount rates.
If you drive, have 20 minutes between 9.30-10am and 3-3.30pm and are happy to collect members from their homes in Cookham (only) to bring them in and take them home again - then that might be the role for you!
