FIRST ANOTHER ATTEMPTED COURIER FRAUD:

The potential victim is elderly and received a phone call from A detective Sergeant, who said he worked out of Chelmsford Police station.  He appeared to have all her details.  He told her that someone had ben accessing her bank account and money had been taken.  He asked her to confirm all her bank and PIN numbers, which she refused to do, but she had supplied the name of her bank.  The man told her to put the phone down and dial the police immediately.  The phone did not work.

There have not been any further calls.

This is a standard Courier Fraud outline.  They are still happening and everyone should be on their guard.

From RBWM:

Are you a budding entrepreneur?
We're working with the Rebel Business School to provide a free online course supporting budding entrepreneurs in the borough looking to start or grow their own business.
It will run every weekday from 7 to 18 February,10am to 3pm, and is designed to inspire and help you find the confidence to try your ideas. It’s aimed at everyone, from those with no cash and no business experience, to fledgling start-ups needing guidance to keep on track.
