The Beaconsfield Historical Society and Beaconsfield Society have collaborated to produce four local Heritage Walks. Three of the walks are in the historic Old Town and one in the New Town. The Old Town walks honours the long history of Beaconsfield whilst the New Town walk celebrates many literary figures who used to live in the town. The walks, mainly on firm surfacing so accessible to all, range from 30 – 45 minutes in length.
The Heritage Walks leaflet is available in hard copy format at various points in Beaconsfield, including the library and the Town Hall, as well as via the Beaconsfield Historical Society website
www.beaconsfieldhistory.org.uk and Beaconsfield Society
www.beaconsfieldnow.org.uk under Heritage Walks. In addition, entry through the Beaconsfield Historical Society website enables walkers to access, via links, detailed information on buildings, people, and events. These links will continue to increase as more articles are added.
The leaflets are free but any donations towards costs would be appreciated.
The Heritage Walks are the latest addition to the Beaconsfield Society’s ‘Enjoy Beaconsfield’ series of local walks and cycle routes.
