From Thames Valley Hospice

I know times are tough. None of us can miss the rising prices we're all facing.

But we have a problem. And I'm afraid it can't wait. Our Inpatient Unit is under huge strain and running at over 90% capacity where we would normally see 75%. This increase, I think, are those patients who couldn't access the care they needed during the pandemic, who now need our support after receiving a late diagnosis.

We knew this increase simply couldn't be kept up for the months and years to come. Our staff were giving their all and had nothing left.

We knew we had to find a solution. The alternative was having to turn patients away and we couldn't do that, not when they need us.
