NEXT: A FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL COMMUNITY / CARERS GROUPS:
Grants are now available to help individuals and community groups kick-start their own innovative initiatives supporting health and wellbeing of residents in the Royal Borough.
The council, in partnership with NHS Frimley CCG, is inviting people to apply for one-off grants of up to £5,000 to get their ideas for community-led initiatives off the ground.
The funding is coming from a budget held jointly by the council and the CCG. Applications must focus on one or more of the four key health and wellbeing priorities in the Royal Borough.
1. Improving access to services to better people’s health
2. Health prevention to reduce risk factors
3. Tackling social isolation and loneliness
4. Reducing mental or physical health inequalities.

NEXT: we have received reports about a man going door to door in Raymond Road, selling fish. There are only two categories of people who can go door to door selling anything without a Pedlars certificate, are those selling books – and food. That of course does not mean it may not be suspicious.

The aggrieved returned to their bike to find in the process of being stolen by a group of youths, who threatened him, but made off, leaving the bike. Police attended immediately and carried out an area search. One youth, who matched the description given was located and arrested on suspicious of theft of a pedal cycle. Ref. No: 43220181482
28/4 Thursday 8.45 a.m. Moorbridge Road. Report from supermarket staff, of a car containing two men, circulating in the car park looking into the windows of parked cars to see what was left inside. The police were called and attended immediately and two men were arrested on suspicion of attempted theft from a motor vehicle. Ref. No: 43220181902
28/4 Thursday 10 a.m. / 11.10 p.m. Station Approach. Parts of a locked up bike stolen from a bike rack. Several other bikes – at least 5 - have had parts stolen. The frame had been stolen and only the wheels were left from this bike,. A black, Evans Road & mountain bike. Ref. No: 43220183200

28/4 Thursday 3.50 a.m. Chiltern Road. . A report of a man walking along, trying car door handles. Described as white, wearing khaki green jogging bottoms with white stripes down the legs, a fabric mesh top, a quilted thin black / dark grey puffa jacket and white trainers. Ref. No: 43220182922

28/4 Thursday 3.45 a.m. Chiltern Road. Report of a man walking along the road trying car door handles.
28/4 Thursday 4.06 a.m. Bray Road. The aggrieved has CCTV footage of a man walking around the front of the property trying car door handles on the drive, before trying the handles on the front door. Everything was secure, so the man walked away. Local Facebook pages have images of a man matching this description walking around trying car door handles on the days before this incident. Ref.
