The M4 motorway is set to be closed in Berkshire tonight to allow Smart Motorway work to take place. The eastbound carriageway is set to be shut this evening (Monday, August
into the morning of Tuesday, August 9.
The closure will be in place between Junction 8 ( Maidenhead and the A404) and Junction 6 ( Windsor / Slough ). A diversion will be in place while National Highways have the road shut.
Inrix, the traffic data company, said: " M4 Eastbound closed due to roadworks during the night from J8 A404(M) Maidenhead to J6 A355 Royal Windsor Way (Slough / Windsor). From 8pm on August 8 until 6am on August 9."
