Reading Vegan Festival is returning to the town this weekend for a free of charge fun event. It is now the fifth year the event has been running, with the first festival taking place in 2017.

Supporting vegan businesses and creating a safe space for individuals, Reading Vegan Festival will be taking place on Saturday, September 17. The friendly environment will be set up at The Market House Reading, Market Place and Broad Street in Central Reading.

Everyone is invited as it is free to attend with over forty stalls both inside and outside. Stalls will feature a wide range of plant-based food, vegan cakes, eco-friendly gifts and ethical products. There will also be various charity stands.

Talks and workshops have been planned which will be presented by a chef, nutritionist, campaigner and ceramic artist. The programme also includes comedy and live music for the whole family.

Children's activities will be taking place too, such as animal-themed crafts and story time with a unicorn princess. A limited amount of free goodies will also be handed out including Friendly Soaps, Linwoods flaxseed and Koko coconut milk.

The 100 per cent ethical event exclusively has vegan businesses trading to try and fulfil Reading Vegan Festival's mission to promote the cause for animals, environment and human health. Veganism is a lifestyle that avoids all products, food or otherwise, that derives from animals, including products that are tested on animals.
