So today’s post is about eRD (electronic Repeat Dispensing) - a little known and under-utilised service that I think is a gem!
Slightly different to ordering your repeat prescriptions on a regular basis.
In essence , if you are in regular medication and you are not due a review or tests for 6 months or more - the GP may agree to you having eRD.
My tip! - the next time you have a review of your medication with the surgery GP or GP pharmacist - ask if you would be a suitable candidate for eRD.
I have worked with my local surgery over the last 14 years and I run this service at my Pharmacy - and in my opinion - it has been a welcomed service to a community pharmacist like me, especially during the pandemic when we could manage our workload and takes some pressure off the GPs having to sign the same prescription month in month out!
Please note - as a community pharmacist and team - we still pay attention and respond to each prescription with scrutiny and will check that no change has taken place since your last supply and respond accordingly.

Remember - at COOKHAM PHARMACY : Friday (4th November) and SATURDAY 5th November.
Times :
9am to 12pm and then 3pm to 6pm
You will be asked to fill in a form that will be screened by the vaccinating pharmacist.
There is an NHS eligibility criteria if you are aged between 18 and 49
We will inform your GP of the vaccination.
