The Great Christmas Carnival is said to be the biggest Christmas event taking place in the south this winter. Offering an array of rides and attractions, the fair is suited to children and adults alike.

Located at Newbury Racecourse, tickets to the event include free parking and a complimentary hot chocolate. Visitors can choose from a slew of rides and activities once inside the racecourse.

You could go ice skating, visit Father Christmas at Santa's Grotto, make your way around the Christmas maze, watch the Great Christmas circus, or have a go on the big Ferris wheel. If this isn't enough there's also an hourly flying Father Christmas attraction and over 20 other rides and games to choose from.

If you can't drive to the racecourse, there are shuttle buses running between Newbury Wharf and The Great Christmas Carnival until December 8.

General admission is £7.50. Ice skating costs £10. The Great Christmas circus costs £12.50. Santa's Grotto costs £6 and children under two go for free. The festive event opened on November 28 and will be closing on January 2, 2023.
