Shoppenhangers Road to Close for three months

The planned closure of part of Shoppenhangers Road has been pushed back until next week, a councillor has said.

According to Cllr Phil Haseler, cabinet member for planning, parking, highways and transport,Thames Water could not begin the works today as previously announced due to a lack of equipment.

Cllr Haseler said the works have now been scheduled for later next week.

Once works commence, the stretch of the road between Ludlow Road and the railway station car park is expected to be closed to traffic in both directions for three months in order to fix a collapsed sewer.
