St Mark’s Hospital has expanded its referral service helping people with minor illnesses and injuries – but there is no word yet on the future of walk-in services.

St Mark’s minor injury and illness walk-in centre temporarily closed in April 2020 and has not reopened since.

There have been many calls for news on its status ever since – including from Maidenhead MP Theresa May.

In an update provided on Tuesday, Frimley Health and Care, which runs the hospital, has said that those requiring same-day urgent care for injuries can now be seen at St Mark’s with a referral.

Patients with a referral will now be able to get same-day care at Mark’s Hospital for minor injuries, alongside its existing same-day service for illnesses.
