THIS SCAM HAPPENED IN A SUPERMARKET CAR PARK IN ASCOT - BE ON YOUR GUARD !

13/6  Thursday 10.25 a.m.  Supermarket Car Park, London Road.  The aggrieved had finished shopping  and had placed her handbag on the passenger seat.  As she started to drive home a man aged between 20 / 30, tapped on her window to say someone had dented the back of her car with a shopping trolley.  She got out of the car to examine the damage.  The man pointed to a muddy part saying it was a scratch.  There was no damage, so the aggrieved got back into the car.  When she did, she found her handbag on the passenger seat had been searched and her purse, had been stolen.  She looked for the man, but he had disappeared.  This has happened many times in local car parks - DO NOT FALL FOR IT.

12/6  Wednesday 1.30 p.m.  Staines Road.  The aggrieved received a phone call supposedly from the Inland Revenue.  He was told tax was outstanding and that he must press no 1 on his phone immediately to make the payment or he would be arrested immediately.  The aggrieved was elderly and vulnerable and this caused confusion and distress.  Please tell everyone you know to just put the phone down - IT IS A SCAM
