There are now 428 coronavirus patients in Berkshire according to the latest Government figures.

The number of confirmed cases from the Government was released on Thursday, April 2.

The area of Berkshire with the most cases is Slough, which has 117 confirmed cases - up from 115 the previous day.

Other places which saw increases were West Berkshire, which had three more confirmed cases, bringing its total to 66.

The number of cases increased by one each in Reading, Berkshire and Bracknell.

There are now 67 coronavirus patients in Reading and 36 patients in Bracknell.

The number of cases were stable in other areas.

Windsor and Maidenhead saw no change, at 75, as did figures in Wokingham, which stayed at 67.

In total, 49 people have died at NHS Trusts that treat people in Berkshire.

One person, a woman in her 70s, died at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading on Thursday, March 5. And 48 people have died after testing positive for coronavirus at hospitals in the Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot and Frimley Park Hospital in Camberley.
