Another 8 people have died at Berkshire's hospitals after testing positive for coronavirus.

The latest figures from NHS England on Thursday (April 23) show a total of 366 people have now died.

There have now been 250 deaths at the Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, which makes up the vast majority of numbers in Berkshire.

It runs hospitals including Wexham Park in Slough and Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot.

That means the trust has seven newly-confirmed deaths.

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust has a total of 106 deaths which has stayed the same.

One death was recorded at the Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Prospect Park Hospital, in Reading, Berkshire bring the trust total to 10.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust   – 250 (increase of seven)
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust   – 106 (no increase
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust   - 10 (increase of one)

A total of 18,738 patients have died in hospital after testing positive for coronavirus in the UK as of 5pm on Wednesday, the Department of Health said, up by 638 from 18,100 the day before.
